A Flock of Eagles Cover Art

When I started teaching Audio Productions in 2019 at Joplin High School one of the first ideas I came up with was to do podcasts. I co-owned a marketing agency before I dove into teaching and at that agency we had a few clients for whom we produced podcasts so along with that experience and the thought that everyone has something to say I decided to see if anyone was interested in rollin with a podcast..

I taught four hours, or classes, of Audio Production. One day, a few weeks into the school year, I asked all my classes if there was any interest in podcasting instead of producing music. Only one of my classes, 5th Hour, my smallest class, was interested. So we came up with an idea of what the podcast would be about, it would be about the school, what the name would be, “A Flock of Eagles” since an eagle is our mascot, and a logo, which is below.

The whole class took part in designing the logo but it was left to me to create it. I would take their ideas, throw them into Adobe Illustrator, and then present to the class our idea. After several attempts we ended up with what you see below.
